About a month back I attended the launch event of PAEZ shoes at Threadbare & Squirrel, a cozy little boutique situated at Haji Lane. I've never actually heard of the brand prior to the event so I was naturally excited to find out more what PAEZ shoes was all about.
Originating from Argentina, PAEZ shoes has been around since 2007 and is currently being sold at numerous stores in 17 countries around the world. PAEZ shoes are all handmade (very cool!) and produced in Argentina under fair labour practices, which means what you buy is as authentic and original as can get.

It was also my first time at Threadbare & Squirrel and I would definitely recommend making a vist there if you haven't been to the store. The store not only house up & coming local designer labels but they also sell their own creations including chalk board badges (pretty novel idea) and multi-purpose clutches (which I was so in love with!). With the addition of PAEZ shoes to the mix, it'll be perfectly easy to put an entire outfit together.
I was instantly drawn to the vibrant colours & prints (so spoilt for choice!) of the shoes on display which PAEZ is actually known for. There was also this interesting diagram of sorts explaining how PAEZ shoes are made (click for larger image).

After the event, I was kindly gifted a pair of my own PAEZ shoes by the lovely people at PAEZ Singapore. I've since worn them a few times running errands and even for a full day of shopping and I must say they are possibly one of, if not the most comfortable pair of shoes I own.
It was pretty easy picking out my favourite pair which was the colour block one from the Monte series. I was told it's one of the most popular designs and I can totally see why since it's effortlessly easy to match with.
The shoes not only looked good on the outside but inside as well. Check out the interior of the shoe printed with the PAEZ logo (different colours for different designs). It's also extremely compact (see above), which is great for travelling.
A quick tip for those of you who are interested in purchasing a pair. I was adviced by the people at PAEZ to take a size smaller than what I usually wear as the shoe expands after a few wears. I'm normally a size 38/39 for shoes but for the pair of PAEZ shoes, I fit perfectly into a size 37 and the shoes did indeed expand quite abit after the few times I wore them.
Overall, I really love the shoes not only for the variety of design choices and how it goes with almost everything but more importantly, how comfortable they are which is a major major plus in shoes. I was told a metallic series might be coming in the next collection, in fact I saw Huimin from PAEZ Singapore wearing a glittery gold pair (loved them!) that day, which I'm totally gonna check out when it does arrive.
