As much as I love colours, sometimes it's a refreshing change do the monochromic style. Black & white will never fail you that's for sure. Love this spread also because Fei Fei is one of my new model favourites.

Saw a couple of images from this ed awhile back, namely the one with the yellow Dolce & Gabanna star dress that left me wanting to see more. Finally managed to find the full ed and I especially love the movement (ie. 'throw dress in the air') pics. Kinda reminded me of this which I absolutely loved.

On a separate note, somehow I went a whole month without posting on the blog AND without even noticing. Haha. Have been going through this whole I-have-so-much-to-blog-about-yet-I-have-nothing-to-blog-about phase for awhile now. Trying to get back my blogging groove slowly but surely! Anyway, since we're on the topic of blogging, just to let you know there's another blog with way more regular posting which you can check out if you like. Topics include mens fashion and sometimes, cute boys=)

Hope you're all enjoying your week so far!=)

Lanvin Campaign Movie Fall 2011

Hello all! How are you guys? I went away for a holiday trip with the family last week and decided not to bring my laptop along, hence the lack of posts. Did everyone have a great weekend?

Saw this today and had a good laugh watching it. Loved the cameo by Alber Elbaz at the end. Enjoy watching!=)

Lastly, to everyone in Singapore, Happy Hari Raya Puasa! Hope everyone have a fantastic day off tomorrow. Btw, can't wait for the opening of H&M this Saturday!=)

Quick outfit shot taken around the carpark area of Shangri-La Hotel where I went for an early birthday brunch at The Rose Veranda with a few friends last weekend. Looking forward to another bday meal this weekend! And it's my birthday today! Woohoo!=)

Random quiz! Did you know that our iconic Singapore Girl uniform was designed by French designer Pierre Balmain? A little embarrassed to say I had absolutely no idea until I read last week's 8Days. Haha. Well, we learn something new everyday eh? Wishing everyone in Singapore a Happy National Day! Have fun watching the parade later this evening and hope you all have a fantastic day!=)

Clearly inspired by Freja Beha Erichsen (one of my all-time favourite model), Tao Okamoto is spot on showcasing Freja's signature laid-back rock & roll model-off-duty style in this Vogue China editorial. Especially love the second pic with the shaggy hair and coke bottle.

PAEZ Launch Event & Review

PAEZ Shoes @ Street Stylista

About a month back I attended the launch event of PAEZ shoes at Threadbare & Squirrel, a cozy little boutique situated at Haji Lane. I've never actually heard of the brand prior to the event so I was naturally excited to find out more what PAEZ shoes was all about.

Originating from Argentina, PAEZ shoes has been around since 2007 and is currently being sold at numerous stores in 17 countries around the world. PAEZ shoes are all handmade (very cool!) and produced in Argentina under fair labour practices, which means what you buy is as authentic and original as can get.

It was also my first time at Threadbare & Squirrel and I would definitely recommend making a vist there if you haven't been to the store. The store not only house up & coming local designer labels but they also sell their own creations including chalk board badges (pretty novel idea) and multi-purpose clutches (which I was so in love with!). With the addition of PAEZ shoes to the mix, it'll be perfectly easy to put an entire outfit together.

I was instantly drawn to the vibrant colours & prints (so spoilt for choice!) of the shoes on display which PAEZ is actually known for. There was also this interesting diagram of sorts explaining how PAEZ shoes are made (click for larger image).

After the event, I was kindly gifted a pair of my own PAEZ shoes by the lovely people at PAEZ Singapore. I've since worn them a few times running errands and even for a full day of shopping and I must say they are possibly one of, if not the most comfortable pair of shoes I own.

It was pretty easy picking out my favourite pair which was the colour block one from the Monte series. I was told it's one of the most popular designs and I can totally see why since it's effortlessly easy to match with.

The shoes not only looked good on the outside but inside as well. Check out the interior of the shoe printed with the PAEZ logo (different colours for different designs). It's also extremely compact (see above), which is great for travelling.

A quick tip for those of you who are interested in purchasing a pair. I was adviced by the people at PAEZ to take a size smaller than what I usually wear as the shoe expands after a few wears. I'm normally a size 38/39 for shoes but for the pair of PAEZ shoes, I fit perfectly into a size 37 and the shoes did indeed expand quite abit after the few times I wore them.

Overall, I really love the shoes not only for the variety of design choices and how it goes with almost everything but more importantly, how comfortable they are which is a major major plus in shoes. I was told a metallic series might be coming in the next collection, in fact I saw Huimin from PAEZ Singapore wearing a glittery gold pair (loved them!) that day, which I'm totally gonna check out when it does arrive.

Great news for all you peeps who wana purchase a pair of your own PAEZ shoes. The shoes are now available in Singapore in 17 designs across 4 different ranges. Check them out below:

Love how the editorial is shot in a 'street style' theme. Street style blogs are amazing sources of inspiration and it's great to see major publications acknowledging their presence and influence on the internet-savvy masses. Love the tons of layering and accessorising going on and of course, the close up shots of bags and shoes which is a staple feature we all love to see on our favourite street style blogs.

Have a great weekend everyone!=)
