Models Remix 004 - SS2011 - Abbey Lee Kershaw

Love the maxi dresses/skirts Abbey Lee Kershaw was spotted wearing during the recent S/S 2011 fashion week. Going platinum blonde was such a refreshing change for her as well. My favourite among the bunch would have to be the first and second look. Sheer maxis still top my list at the moment.

Love all the outfits and styling in this editorial. As you can see, I picked out my favourites in each outfit. I've always thought that clear/transparent bags and shoes borders along the fine line of being tacky and honestly, I didn't fancy the clear Cheap Monday boots when I saw some of the runway images awhile back. But I must say, I absolutely love how it's worn in the 5th outfit, my favourite look of the ed. The sheer maxi skirt which I've been wanting to DIY for the longest time remains in the form of a piece of fabric. Fab. Must get down to it soon!

On a seperate note, been having some laptop issues in the form of crazy jumpy lines appearing on the screen since the weekend. I'll need to get it fixed before I blog again since it gets a little taxing on the eyes looking at the jumpy lines. Thought I'll give a heads up beforehand. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of the week! Be back soon!=)

Bambi...

is her name.

I only came across this model a few months back when her pictures started making its rounds on fashion blogs. Bambi Northwood-Blyth is an up & coming Australian model who I think is absolutely adorable. That and the fact that she has a rather unique/memorable look, a plus in modelling. So Cute!!! Although I prefer she do without the nose ring. Love the ring (can't really make out what it is though)!

I Can't Believe I'm In A Good Mood On A Monday But...

*Note: Long post ahead.

This past weekend has been a great one to say the least. Maybe it's the spirit of x'mas crawling up or maybe I had such fun meeting friends I haven't seen in awhile AND I went shopping! My friend (together with her mum) from Shanghai  visited over the weekend where we did some catching up and checking out the newly opened Crystal Jade HK cafe at Orchard Central (might post pics of the food in another post). Went to check out the huge F21 store @ 313 (which I mentioned in the post below) as well. Ended up purchasing a dress and accessories for only $39! Cheap or what?! Gonna buy shoes the next time I go there! Also met up with M for the dress fitting, catching up, gossiping, and ended up doing unplanned x'mas shopping.

But the best of all has to be this...

I love discovering new blogs/sites and Lacee Swan is a new blog I came across very recently from Mr Newton's site (which I actually came across from another street style site, can't remember which one though). So, when I checked out Lacee's site, she happened to have this giveaway for a Ranya Tee, which is her own illustration/sketch of Russian model Ranya Mordanova printed on an AA T-shirt. As close friends would already know, I have this thing for faces on clothes or bags (I don't really know exactly why so don't ask..haha), so I tried my luck since it was one of the very few giveaways that the blogger was willing to mail anywhere in the world. And guess what??!!

Pardon me for being so very excited and feeling lucky but hello?! It's like the first time I've ever won anything from a giveaway?! Not that I tried my luck at many in the first place. Thank you so much Lacee! Models Remix 002 - SS2010 - Maximalism Basics

Guess who was spotted at Paris Fashion Week? Ok, she's not exactly that famous unless maybe if you live in Hong Kong, which I don't but I know who she is?! Amanda S is a Hong Kong model whom I think has appeared in countless magazines across Asia. I actually spotted her in a pic on style.com where she was photographed with Hidetoshi Nakata, the Japanese former football player.

The above pics are courtesy of Jak & Jil. Love the top! I would never have guessed the back looked like it did if I only saw it from the front. I doubt it is front-back reversible though at first glance it sure looks like it. Love it nonetheless. 

Another fab outfit worn by Sasha Pivovarova (left) and a random person on the streets of Sydney (right). As I already raved about in earlier posts, draped clothing are so my thing. Especially if you can do all sorts of knots, twists, self-drape, etc etc to create different looks with that piece of garment. I'm kinda liking the wrap thing the both of them are wearing, it's sort of similar to the large collar/hood function you can find in some jersey pieces. Sasha is wearing a Rick Owens dress I think (read it somewhere), the girl on the right is wearing a Complex Geometries wrap, which I honestly suspect is a label I will love. Must check it out online soon.
