The Socks

Really liking this socks over leggings/stockings trend. Yeah, it does go against the rule of 'cutting' your body into parts by wearing too many horizontal lines, which will somehow make you appear shorter. But I actually think it's a rather good alternative if you wana appear like you're wearing knee-highs (same colour socks with same colour shoes preferably) without enduring the heat wearing leather (perfect for the humid weather here!). The sequinned socks (see sequinned legging here) on the right is another one of my favourites. It's totally DIY possible if you have the patience. Or if you're willing/have the cash, you can always purchase a pair from Miu Miu's Fall 2009 collection.   

Just a random photo of a girl wearing knee-high socks & short boots. Her whole look is very simple but I think it is very well put together. I like it.

Wishlist: Alexander Wang Coco Duffel Bag

I'm thinking most people would probably be already coveting the latest bags from the Spring 2010 collections that were just shown last month. But I'm so loving this Alexander Wang Coco Duffel Bag from his Fall 2009 collection! I actually saw a poorly done rip-off copy of this bag at a shop in Far East Plaza few weeks back. Seems like the bag is sold out online almost everywhere? Too bad there isn't an AW store here in Singapore (I would love to go touch and see the real deal), I did however read in a magazine that some store at Palais Renaissance stocks some items from the label. Owell, I shall contend myself with looking at the pic of the bag and wish that it will somehow magically land in my room! Hahaha.

I remember going through a phase where rings were my must-have accessory for completing an outfit's look. Then it was bangles, especially chunky ones where I would wear as many until I felt my wrist was gonna break from the weight. Recently I bought a few necklaces with cute and quirky charms/details that were kinda hard to resist. Kinda happy to start growing the accessories stash again.

Models Remix 002 - SS2010 - Maximalism Basics

Guess who was spotted at Paris Fashion Week? Ok, she's not exactly that famous unless maybe if you live in Hong Kong, which I don't but I know who she is?! Amanda S is a Hong Kong model whom I think has appeared in countless magazines across Asia. I actually spotted her in a pic on style.com where she was photographed with Hidetoshi Nakata, the Japanese former football player.

The above pics are courtesy of Jak & Jil. Love the top! I would never have guessed the back looked like it did if I only saw it from the front. I doubt it is front-back reversible though at first glance it sure looks like it. Love it nonetheless. 

Another fab outfit worn by Sasha Pivovarova (left) and a random person on the streets of Sydney (right). As I already raved about in earlier posts, draped clothing are so my thing. Especially if you can do all sorts of knots, twists, self-drape, etc etc to create different looks with that piece of garment. I'm kinda liking the wrap thing the both of them are wearing, it's sort of similar to the large collar/hood function you can find in some jersey pieces. Sasha is wearing a Rick Owens dress I think (read it somewhere), the girl on the right is wearing a Complex Geometries wrap, which I honestly suspect is a label I will love. Must check it out online soon.

The Spy - Chanel Spring/Summer 2010

Saw this video on Bryanboy a few days back. Had to share it! I wonder what gave them the idea of the hidden camera. Apparently, it was hidden somewhere in the model's hair? Loved it anyway.
